PostSubject: Jail is not fun...    Sun Apr 15, 2012 9:00 pm

It had been a pure night from hell. I was covered in blood and not once did any of them offer me new clothes. I was starving, the babies were wiggling so much from being hungry that I didn't sleep a bit. Not that I would have been able too in that damn bed they had me lay in. By the time breakfast came I was starving so bad that I didn't care to stuff down the nasty oatmeal and burnt toast. I didn't care a bit.

They let me make my call and I did to my daddy. Who came and got me released on bail. I told daddy I wanted to go home and shower, and sleep, and eat the biggest breakfast I ever had and he told me he'd be at the hotel and see me later... but even though I wanted to go home... somehow... someway... I ended up at Jackson's door. Maybe it was habit. Or maybe I just really needed his comfort. I should have gone to Jeff.. but my heart.. and my feet led me here.

I lifted my hand, knocking, wishing I could just shower and change out of these clothes. They were destroyed anyways. I knew if I knocked too loud I might wake up Kyle who I was sure was still sleeping so I made my knocking as light as possible. I leaned down, tugging my shoes off, trying not to cry. I was exhausted.

I opened the door, pulling my shirt on over my head as I walked out of the bedroom after hearing the knock on the door. I checked in on Kyle before walking to the door. I opened it, seeing Abigail standing there. Blinking, I stepped out and wrapped my arms around her.

"Jesus Christ, Abigail! What the hell happened to you?" I pulled back, but not releasing her from my arms and looking down at her. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?" I looked her over, trying to figure out if she alright or what had happened. "Are you ok, baby?"

I needed that hug. God, did I seriously need it. I shook my head, tears building in my eyes again as I rested my head on his chest. "I'm okay.. physically." I mumbled against his chest, not moving an inch. "I just need you to hold me. Tell me it will be okay... I need you to put me back together." I whispered the end, hugging him tighter as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I pulled her into the room, shutting the door. I leaned over, pulling her up into my arms and heading back to the bedroom. She looked exhausted, like she hadn't slept in weeks. I walked into the bedrom and kicked the door shut with my foot.

I walked over and laid her down on the bed, curling up behind her. I held her in my arms and never let go of her. I'd let her talk when she felt like talking. I didn't want to push her. I loved her more than my life, and if she wasn't up to talking, even if I was afraid something bad had happened to her, I would still wait for her to say what she needed to say.

I closed my eyes, resting my head on his chest. I was thankful for the silence, and for his arms, and for this bed. I knew it was wrong. God, I did. But I didn't care. After last night, after the pain, the misery, and the terror, I just needed some peace. Some calm. And he brought that to me. Calmness. Stillness. I hugged him tighter till I had no tears left and picked my head up to look at him. "I..." I brushed at my wet face. "I was arrested. I just spent the entire night in jail... it was the scariest thing I've ever been through." My lips trembled as I spoke. "Julius is insane. I went to get B.. because he had her.." I curled my finger more into his shirt, my eyes filling with tears again. "He destroyed his place, and he.. he... grabbed a knife, he forced me to cut him. He grabbed my arm," I showed him the bruises on my wrist, "and made me cut him and then he called the police and had me arrested." I laid my head back on his chest and cried again.

I couldnt' believe what I was hearing. I couldn't believe she had been the woman Dante said the doorman told him had been arrested. Had I only known. I kissed the top of her head. "Why didn't you call me? I would have come to get you."

I took a deep breath. "Oh, you called your father, didn't you?" I nodded slightly. "That's what you should have done. I just wish I would have known. I would have been down to get you. I would have taken care of you. Are you sure you're alright? He didn't hurt you, baby?"

"No, but he's out of his mind. I need to find B soon... we all do." I glanced up at him. "I'm fine, I swear. I'm just tired, and hungry and really need a shower." I sat up, shifting slightly to rub a hand against my stomach. "Can I borrow one of your shirts and take a shower?"

I nodded my head, helping her sit up as I got off the bed. "Of course." I walked over to the dresser and pulled out a shirt, coming back over to her and handing it to her. "Take a shower. Take your time. Would you like me to make you anything to eat or anything? I can tell you're tired, but I can also bet you haven't ate anything in a while, so...?"

"Food, please. I tried to stuff down that nasty breakfast in jail and I'm starving.. so food." I smiled, giving him a kiss on his cheek and walking into the bathroom. I shut the door, clicking the lock and turning the shower on. I got it to the right warmth before stripping down to nothing and stepping inside.

I headed to the kitchen and started to make breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes. I make homemade syrup too. I got the cool whip out of the freezer and set the table, finishing the pancakes as Abigail came out dressed in my shirt. God, she looked beautiful. I knew those were my babies growing in her stomach, despite what the test said. I knew it was wrong. I knew they were my children, and somehow I'd prove it. I pulled out her chair. "Breakfast is ready, baby."

Once I was finished, I got out, got dressed and brushed my hair, making sure to use my old tooth brush that was oddly enough still here to brush my teeth and headed out to the kitchen, thankful I was clean of the grime and dirt from the jail. "Thank you." I said smiling. I sat down in the chair, my mouth watering at the food in front of us. "Momma!" I heard Kyle yell as he turned the corner and ran our way. I caught him and kissed his cheeks. "Hi, baby." He pulled back, sitting on my lap. "I can't believe you're here for breakfast!" I smiled, brushing his hair back some. "I am. I wanted to have breakfast with my boys." I knew it was wrong to include Jackson in that but I did anyways. "You hungry? I'm sure your pops made plenty." He nodded, smiling brightly. "Sure am!"

"I could feed a whole colony." I smiled, looking down at her stomach. "A colony is almost what we have, isn't it, buddy?" Kyle rubbed his momma's stomach, nodding. "Yep. Like John Rolfe on Pocahontas. We're all manly Men, except for Momma who's the beautiful princess." He looked up at me. "Momma's not an indian, but she can still be Pocahontas, right?" I nodded my head. "Of course she can, but Pocahontas really isn't your momma's favorite princess. He looked over at Abigail, asking, "Who is your favorite princess? Pocahontas is so cool!"

I was smiling so big by the time Kyle asked me who my favorite princess was I couldn't break my smile to answer. "Uh.." I hugged him tighter, glancing up at Jackson. "My favorite?" I bit my lip, thinking. "I would have to say it's tie between Snow White and Ariel. They're both very awesome." Kyle nodded, smiling. "What about Jasmine?" I nodded. "I like her too! That Aladdin is one cute guy!" Kyle laughed. "You hear this, pops! She thinks Aladdin is cute!"

"Just like me, huh, baby?" I asked, wikining at her. I sat down at the table, pulling out the chair between Abigail and me. "Have a seat, let your momma eat, buddy." I smiled at the two of them and took the lid off the milk. "Milk, baby?"

"Please." I said smiling, watching as Kyle moved up on the seat and sat down. He grabbed the plate in front of him and went to town. I picked up my own fork and grabbed the syrup. "Syrup for you, baby?" He nodded and I gave him some before pouring myself some. "Thanks, Jackson." I smiled over at him, cutting a piece of the pancake.

I smiled across the table at her. "There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you baby." I said after pouring her and Kyle some milk. I poured myself some and put the gallon down. "Kyle, I'm going to call Hannah and have her come get you so momma can get some rest. Sound good?" He looked to his momma, frowning. "You sick? Are my brothers sick?"

I reached out, smoothing my hand over his head. "No, baby. Promise. We're just tired. That's all. Promise." He seemed satisfied with that and went back to his pancakes. When breakfast was over, I even took Kyle down the hall to give him a bath and told Jackson we'd be back. When he was dressed and ready to go with Hannah, I gave him a big hug and let him say goodbye to his Pops. "I love you. Be good." He smiled. "Always." I gave him a kiss on each cheek and watched as he ran out the door. I thanked Hannah, shut the door and walked back to the kitchen where Jackson was putting away the clean dishes. "Thank you.. for everything..." I bit my lip slightly, rubbing my stomach as one of my legs slid up the other. "I appreciate you taking care of us when you don't have too."

I turned to look at her as I put the last plate away, leaning against the counter. "Don't have to? I want to, baby." I shook my head. "You know that there isn't anything I wouldn't do for you."

"I know. I'm just saying it's not really your job anymore to take care of me and my babies.. and I appreciate it. Learn to take a thank you for what it is." I placed my leg back on the floor and stretched my arms above my head, letting out a soft yawn as the shirt rose ever slightly on my legs. "Well, I should take a nap.... you don't mind if I sleep on your bed, right? Just a few hours and I'll go home."

"No," I told her. Shaking my head. I was hoping to lay down with her, but... "I'll be here in case you need me." I smiled. "Get some rest."

"Thanks." I turned, walking away and stopped to look back at him over my shoulder. "If you get tired don't let me stop you from coming in your bed." I gave him a warm smile before going in the bedroom. I shut the door behind me, crawled into the bed under the covers and laid down on my side as my eyes closed, letting off a loud satisfied yawn.

I took that as a good sign. I finished cleaning up and then I followed her back to the bedroom. I slowly opened the door and slipped into the bed behind her. I softly slipped my arms around her her, burying my face in the back of her neck in her hair. This was where we should be. This is where we should always be. And I knew right now she needed this as much as I missed this. I loved her, an there wasn't anything I wouldn't do for her.

"Hmm," I said half asleep as I hugged his arms against me. "very nice." I mumbled, shifting so I was more against him. I yawned softly, getting closer to sleep.

I kissed her shoulder where my shirt hung off it slightly. "I love you, baby. Always and forever." I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep with her.
