I need cool air! I'm hot!

I was so restless as I laid in Jeff's arms on the couch that trying to sleep was a wasted effort. I was glad he was asleep but I couldn't, and the babies weren't going to allow it even if I could. The breeze blowing in from the open patio doors was nothing but hot air and I was burning up. I slid down slowly, careful not to wake Jeff and stood up. I slid my feet in my flip flops and smoothed down the skirt to my white nightgown.

I walked out onto the patio, thankful the breeze seemed to be a little cooler out here. I glanced back inside and turned to move away from the door. I didn't want Jeff to catch site of me and wake up and worry that something was wrong so I moved away from the door and leaned against the railing, watching the lightening above me go off in the dark sky. The waves splashed hard against the sand which sent a nice cool breeze with it so I felt a little better.

I needed a drink. I hoped Jules kept beer in this place. Leaving Carly asleep in the bed, I slipped out and walked into the kitchen. I opened the fridge, and thankfully enough, there was beer. It was imported shit, but it was still beer. I reached in, taking one out and popping the top before taking a long sip. Walking back into the living area of the hut, I saw Cavallari asleep in the bed alone. The doors on the side of the hut were open.

Walking over, I stepped out, finding Abigail standing there against the railing. The lightning flashed and I walked over to her, wrapping my arms around her from behind, letting my hands rest on her beautiful stomach. "You're going to get sick, baby." I kissed the side of her neck, sliding my hands more over her stomach. "Unless you do not mind getting wet? We could stay out here a little longer."

I figured the arms wrapping around me was Jeff but the second I smelled him I knew it wasn't Jeff. My heart skipped a beat and I found it hard to resist standing just like this. However when he spoke I knew I had to act. To take the incentive. I turned, looking up at him as my back leaned against the railing of the porch. "What are you doing? You are seriously giving me whiplash!" One second he was ignoring me and pretending I didn't exist, the next he was being a major dick, and the next.. he was all lovey dovey and acting like not a single thing was wrong. I pushed his arms away. "Stop playing games. Just stop!" I stepped around him and folding my arms over my chest and looking back at the water. I didn't mind getting wet at all. I just wanted him to leave me alone.. I was sick of the up and down. Back and forth. It was exhausting. And he was enjoying his games too much. He enjoyed hurting me...

Turning to face her, I tossed the beer bottle as far as I could. "I want you, Abigail! You know that! Do you think it's easy for me to stand there and watch you with the Goomba? I'm in love with you and I don't want anyone but you! But you've done your best to show me that that's not what you want from me, so what do I do? I bottle myself up! You know, Carly deserves better than what I'm giving her, but I can't give it to her because I'm still in love with you and that will never go away." Stepping up to her, I came right in front of her face. "I can't let you go!"

"Oh you have a wonderful way of showing it! Ignoring me! Making me cry on the plane again! Making me think you don't love me! All the while tossing yourself all over Carly to punish me because I choose Jeff over you! You know that's not easy for me! Seeing you with Carly and you're all over her! When just a day ago she didn't even like you! Fuck you, asshole!" I shoved him back, walked around him and headed down the steps to go in the sand and get away from him. The rain was cold but it felt good on my warm skin.

I headed down the stairs after her. "Abigail," I said, coming up beside her. "So what am I supposed to do? Just stand back and watch you with the Guido? I'm not supposed to do anything but accept it? Jesus, Abigail!"

"God, no!" I said biting at my trembling lip. "No.. you... should... be happy." I wiped a tear away... or maybe it was a rain droplet. I couldn't tell. "No... you're right. It's wrong of me to get hurt... and jealous... it doesn't matter if you love me or not.. or if you love Carly. Or what you do with Carly. It's not my business. I'm wrong to try and make it mine.. I'm sorry." I shifted my feet in the wet sand, folding my arms over my chest. "I'm sorry." I repeated, my eyes sad.

"Don't be sorry. Just ... If you ever loved me, please don't jump into this with Cavallari as quickly as you are! Take some time to think about it. I'm begging you. Don't just marry him because test results say you're carrying his babies. You wouldn't marry me just because you were pregnant with my child, don't do it with him. You wouldn't ever marry someone unless you were absolutely ready to. Don't let the babies force you into that decision."

"I..." My eyes sparkled with unshed tears. "Jackson.." I sighed, closing my eyes, fumbling with the ring on my finger. "I've really made a mess of so many things." I looked up at him. "I don't know what I want.. when I'm with you.. it's all I want.. when I'm with him... it's all I want... I..." sighed heavily. "I'm not sure... I don't know what I want."

"Then take a moment," I pleaded with her, taking her hands, turning her to face me. "Take a moment and just think about this. Take time. Don't rush into it. I'm begging you, baby!"

"I will but... that doesn't mean I take his ring off... or tell him it's over. It just means I think and postpone the wedding till then." I fell into him some, finding it odd that the ground literally shook under us. I turned back toward the ocean, seeing the huge wave. "Jesus..."

I looked over in the direction she was looking, my eyes widening. "This storm is getting worse. We've gotta get inside, baby." I wrapped my arms around her, turning with her toward the hut. "We should hurry!"

"I'm sorry for bringing us out here!" I said as we hurried back toward the hut. "I went and screwed up another thing!" I came up the steps with him and headed inside the living room.

We came back into the hut, and I rubbed her arms a few times, before smiling down at her. "You didn't ruin anything. Just stay here. I'm going to get us some towels." I ran to the bathroom to grab some towels, coming back out to her. Wrapping one around her, I rubbed her arms some more.

"Thank you." I said, smiling up at him. "But maybe you..." I took the extra towel from his hands and leaned forward, wrapping it around him. "There, much better..." I smiled, jumping slightly when the lightening outside crashed near the hut. I turned to stare out the window, shivering, not from the cold.. but from the way the storm made me feel. The power flipped off and I glanced over at the empty couch finally remembering Jeff was just there... "where's Jeff?" I said more to myself than anyone.

I looked around the room, through the darkness. "Maybe he's getting something to eat? Come on. Lets go check the kitchen." I wrapped my arm around her, starting to head with her to the kitchen.

We hadn't even made it that close to the kitchen when the house shook and I toppled back on my butt, Jackson falling with me. "Jackson," I whimpered, not because I hurt but because now I was scared. Storms were never THIS bad.

I pulled her into my arms, looking down at her, as best as I could in the dark. This storm was bad, and I was sure it was going to get worse. Much worse. Rubbing her back, I asked softly, "Are you alright, baby?"

"I'm okay... just...scared." The house shook harder, sending things above us crashing to the floor. I think the violent shaking and the hollowing wind was making my stomach turn.

I pulled her to me and rolled under the dining table. We needed to be as safe as possible, and if that meant reverting to earthquake safety, then I guess it would work. Although, I'd never been in an earthquake or a tropical storm. "Everything's going to be ok. I promise you, baby. It might get kinda scary, but we're going to be ok."

"I believe you." I whispered, hugging him to me. The room shook so hard and the sound was damn near deafening. However the table couldn't take it and fell over just as Jackson pulled us to the side. I started in horror up at the missing roof. "Jackson.." I whimpered, tears falling from my eyes. I said a silent prayer, begging God to make sure all of us were okay. Jeff, Carly, Jackson, Bianca, Dante and I. I don't think I could live through anything happening to one of us. And then I said a silent prayer for the babies... he had to hear me. Right?

"Jesus Christ!" My head snapped up as I saw the wave that had been swelling outside while Abby and I were out there crashing down on us. I held her as tightly to me as I could, arms and legs, determined not to let go. "Hooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllld oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnn!!!"

I let out a scream, shivering instantly the second the water hit me. I did my best to hold on, but the more we got ripped back and forth the harder it got. The overwhelming need for air hit me and I panicked, trying to swim forward, losing my grip on Jackson's arms. I tried to reach for him but he was gone. I didn't know up from down and right to left and I felt an overwhelming fear not only for myself but my babies and my entire family.
