"Welllllll tonight has been a success!" I slurred, my arm around Abby as the other hand picked up what seemed to be my tenth maybe eleventh beer. "Dancing, good food, good friends and lots of beer! I'm a happy man!" I laughed, downing more of my beer. "You happy, babe?" I asked Abby, she giggled, nodding. "But I'm tired.. I think I'm going to walk back to our room to sleep." I raised my eyebrow. "I could walk you?"

I stood, smoothing my skirt down. "No, no, you stay here." But he stood anyways, almost falling flat on his face. "Dante, seriously! No!" I laughed, pushing him down. "Honestly I can walk myself." I walked over to hug B who seemed a little on the tipsy side herself. What was I kidding. She was as drunk as Dante. "You guys have fun. Seriously."

"Hey, I'll walk you," I said to Abs, looking down at Binx. "And then I'm going to head up to the casino and try my luck at blackjack." "Bye, honey! Love you!" I said to Abby before standing and swaying slightly. "Care to have this dance, Mrs. Frost?" I asked holding my hand out. "Since we are both staying for that reason and our dancing partners left early." I laughed.

I told Dante I'd see him later before kissing Bianca and walking away from the ballroom. I wrapped my arm around Abigail as we headed toward the elevator. "You know, Bianca's right. I am Superman." I nodded my head. "I will protect you." My nod turned into a shake. "I'm sorry I didn't protect you that night, but I promise you. I'm not near as drunk as I was that night. "I like that title. And I won't tell a soul." I winked and stopped when I realized I forgot my purse. "Crap, I forgot my purse. Wanna wait here while I go back to get it or follow me back that way?"

I shook my head. "Nope. CK's not letting his girl out of his site for a moment." I turned with her, heading back toward the ball room. "Of course, I could just use my super speed and fly back and get it, but then the whole world would know my secret, and we can't have that. Especially now that I've got my girl to protect."

I moaned slightly, letting my arms move up behind me, over his arms and up through his hair, pulling his head closer to me. I had let him get to me a few months ago, so much that he was pretty much a drug to me, and now I was getting that same taste of that drug again, and I was sure I couldn't fight it. "Fuck, Dante...
