| We had ridden most of the way home in silence. I myself enjoyed silence for the most part, but it felt like even though we were as close as we were, something was standing between us. I couldn't tell her I missed Caroline. I couldn't tell her I still loved Caroline, but I was sure she knew... and I knew she still loved Jackson, but neither of us were saying it. I had focused on Dante and Bianca and how much of a disappointment I must have been toward them in hopes that we could do anything but think about the two of them. It didn't work for me, but I hoped it worked for her.
Setting the food down on the counter, I kissed her shoulder after taking her coat off, letting my hand caress her stomach softly.
"Want to eat now? Or would you rather lay down?" |

| "I should probably eat. Are you hungry?" I asked, letting my fingers slide up his arm as I looked up at him. Jeff and I were in love. But yet.. neither of us had gone a step further then kissing since we had been caught. Why was that? I leaned up, kissing him lightly before walking over to the table, opening our containers as I sat. |

| I nodded, coming over with her and helping her open them. The food was still pretty much warm, so we didn't have to warm it up. But the shakes might have to be put in the freezer or fridge at least. Taking them out of the bag, I asked her what she thought.
"Did you wanna eat backwards? Start with dessert? Or chill these?" |

| "Go ahead and chill those." I suggested with a smile. "We'll eat real food first." Besides I don't think I could manage the chocolate. Not when the baby hated it. It almost felt like.. I closed my eyes knowing it was impossible and knowing I'd never wish not to have Jeff's children. I loved him... and these babies. I rubbed a hand over what felt like my extra large stomach. "I love you, Jeff. You know that, right?" |

| I almost froze, closing the door to the fridge before turning back to face her. Walking slowly over to her, I nodded.
"Si, Caramella. I know you do."
I didn't know where this was coming from. Alright, I did, but I didn't expect her to say anything about it. Lifting a hand, I placed it on her stomach again, softly rubbing there.
