| It was early, but I'd slept a lot since we got back from Hawaii. Not only was I recovering from a head wound, one I didn't remember how I got, but everyone else had told me it's because I was shot. I remembered pretty much everything else, or at least I believed I did. Tammy seemed excited I was home, and I was doing my best to be the best mother I could be for her. I loved her. | The movie had been over, I don't know how long, but we were still laying on the couch. He must have fallen asleep as well, because I could tell I had scared him when I had screamed out. I had scared myself. Inhaling deeply, I relaxed back into his arms, eyes closed tight and doing my best to relax.
"I'm sorry," I swallowed, my breathing heavy even if I was trying to relax. "I'm ok. I am."
