Dance the night away.

I had set up a table for us at the restaurant not far from here, knowing that we could eat dinner and dance like she had asked before getting into shower. Once I was done, I let her go get ready and got myself dressed. Which was a simple silk shirt and black pants. I walked up to the bathroom door, knocking lightly as I fixed the button on my shirt that had come undone. "Isabella, my beautiful girl. I'm ready to go if you are. The walk isn't far from here."

I came out, wearing a black cocktail dress, my hair pulled up in a messy but classy ponytail at the back of my head, some curly locks hanging down from it and framing my face. I had my makeup done up to compliment the getup and black pumps. I was going to dance, at least until I couldn't dance anymore. I smiled at him, turning around so he could admire my outfit. "What do you think?"

I slapped a hand against my chest, smiling brightly. "Oh, be still my beating heart! You're the most beautiful woman on God's green earth!" I leaned in, kissing her cheek. "Just perfect, my love. Perfect."

I blushed softly, taking his hand. "Come. I want to dance." I led him out of the hut and waited for him to lead the way. "Did I like to dance before? I feel like it's just bursting out of me."

"You loved to dance!" I said, smiling as I lead her up to the board walk. "All the time. I swear anytime even a little faint of music played you were shaking those sexy hips of yours. You love singing and dancing it's why your a famous singer... it's why this is your career, because you love it so much and your the best at it."

I looked up at him as we walked, my hand in his still. I didn't have our fingers laced like earlier, because it just didn't seem right. "But if I love it so much, why am I retiring?"

"Because, you love me, you loved the idea of our family, even if it scared you. That's what you wanted. You loved it more than your music and dancing." I frowned slightly. "You loved me more than the open road... and the lonely nights.." I shrugged.

I stopped, turning to stand in front of him, lifting my hand to his face. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I don't remember. I'm sorry I am not remembering. But I believe you. And I'm really sorry that my not remembering is hurting you as much as I can clearly see it is. I am so sorry."

I lifted my hands to her face, holding them in place, letting her look directly at me. "Don't be sorry. It's not your fault. I'm just glad you're here... alive... with me." I leaned in, kissing her softly. I pulled back. "Was that okay?"

I bit my lip... his kiss didn't taste or even feel like Dante's kiss... Something was missing. That spark I felt with Dante was missing. But I was sure that's how I always felt, even if I supposedly had decided that we shouldn't be together. I licked my lips, slowly nodding. "Yes, Julius." I gave him a soft smile. "People in love kiss, don't they?"

I nodded, curling my fingers more in her, kissing her more deeper, letting my tongue massage against hers, moaning every so slightly as I looped one arm around her waist and tugged her body against mine.

I closed my eyes and let my arms wrap around his waist as I kissed him in return. I didn't feel what I had ever felt when I kissed Dante, but I couldn't keep feeling like this. I couldn't keep comparing him to Dante. It wasn't fair to him. If I was going to be with Julius, I was going to be with Julius. I pulled back, a little lightheaded. "Oh! If I'm going to dance the night away, can't be doing much of that. Making me lightheaded."

I swiped a finger across her lips, smiling. "Well, you make a point there." I smiled, taking her hand again and leading her off down the boardwalk. "You sit here," I said, pulling her seat out and sitting down across from her when we got to the restaurant. I order the best wine they had to offer and smiled across the table. "Anything you in the mood for?"

I shook my head. "You order. I'll like anything you order," I told him, looking around. Loving the music that was playing, just letting it all soak in.

I ordered us both the Hawaiian chicken dinner with steamed vegetables and stood, pushing my chair in. "That dance, Miss. Parisi?" I asked, holding my hand out to her and smiling.

I slid my hand into his and let him lead me out onto the dance floor. It was a slow song playing. I was actually looking forward to an upbeat song, but I think he just wanted to hold me close first. I didn't have to deny him that. I stepped into his arms and wrapped mine around him. I smiled up at him before closing my eyes and laying my head on his chest. For a moment, I could believe that I was in Dante's arms, but I let that fade quickly and focused on where I am and what I was doing.

I slowly moved to the music playing, smiling as we swayed. "God, I missed you... more than I can ever explain."

I looked up at him. "I really love this place, Julius. Not this place," I said, looking around before looking back at him. "I mean Hawaii. I know you've got a job... responsibilities back in New York that you need to get back to, but... is there any way we can stay here? Like, never go back."

I tried to hide my smile, but it was impossible. "I was actually wondering if you'd be okay with that... I was going to ask you after dinner. I have a private jet, I can make the ride back and forth. I would love that. Would you really love to stay here forever? Because there is nothing I want more!"

I had to forget the life I had in New York. I'd already forgotten most of my life, and I could easily forget these last few weeks. I had to move on. "Yes. That's what I want. I want to be here with you. We'll get married and raise our family and be perfectly happy."

"I love you so much... and someday.. you'll remember how much you love me!" I kissed her forehead, twirling her around, dipping her back and pulling her back up, closer. She was so close I could smell her skin... it made my body react... I closed my eyes. "I miss you.. in my bed..." I had never actually had her in my bed but she didn't need to know that.

My breath caught in my throat... He was holding me so close, I could feel every line of his body against mine. He was... I think he was turned on. What was I supposed to do about that? I pulled back from him, inhaling slowly. "I think I need to sit down, Jules. I need a drink."

"Okay..." I stopped, raising my eyebrow. "You.. you just called me Jules... that... that's what you use to always call me. It was your nickname for me..." I smiled. "I never told you that... did you... did you.. remember by yourself?"

"I need..." I pulled away from him. "I need to use the restroom." I pulled away from him and left in search of the bathroom. I found it, going in a stall and locking the lock. Putting my arm up on the door, I cried softly against it. It wasn't him I was really remembering... "Dante," I silently sobbed. I remembered him. Not completely. Not everything we'd ever been through, but I remembered what I felt for him. And in return, I remembered what I used to feel for Julius... and why I was with him. Julius was right, I had ran away from Dante. I didn't know why, but I remembered that much. And I was with Julius. I had been settling, but that wasn't fair to any of us. I had to move on like I had been trying to, despite how I felt. I left the stall and walked over to the sink to wash my hands and dry my face. Walking back out to the restaurant, I smiled and sat down across from him at the table, picking up my glass and taking a long drink.

My fingers curled roughly in the table, my foot bouncing in anger. I hated that even when she couldn't remember that bastard, the same exact look came to her eyes whenever we got close. She wanted him. I could feel it in my bones. When she sat down, I stood. "You enjoy your dinner alone." I set some money down. "Use that to pay your bill. I'm not much in the mood to have dinner with you and Dante.. Goodbye." I grabbed my jacket, walking off. I knew she wouldn't understand how I knew but if she chased me like I was sure she would then I would explain how I knew.
